Problem
- The design felt outdated and didn’t align with the brand
- Pages were slow to load, especially on mobile
- The booking journey was unclear and unintuitive
- The CMS was difficult for staff to manage and update
Virtue Movement’s previous website no longer reflected the energy or structure of the club.
They needed a rebuild that delivered speed, clarity, and a user journey that worked for busy parents, young members, and the internal team.

- Introduced a fresh design system to reflect their brand and audience
- Simplified navigation and booking flows
- Optimised performance across mobile and desktop
- Replaced the old CMS with Strapi for flexible, code-free content editing
- Built a modular site structure that allows for future feature growth
We rebuilt the site from scratch using Node.js and Strapi.
About the client
Virtue Movement is a Reading-based gymnastics and movement club offering classes for children and adults. Their year-round programme includes gymnastics, freestyle, preschool, aerobics, and squad training — plus PAYG adult sessions, extracurricular PE, and birthday parties.
Affiliated with British Gymnastics and Get Berkshire Active, the club is known for its award-winning coaching team and fun, inclusive approach. Virtue’s philosophy is simple: movement for all, built on encouragement, freedom, and fun.
